Nach dem Login auf CentOS (mit Gnome) kam immer eine Warnung, der Host noname konnte nicht gefunden werden. Man könne Gnome trotzdem starten, es können aber Fehler auftreten. Die Oberfläche lief zwar einwandfrei. Es war allerdings äusserst lästig, bei jedem Login die Warnung wegzuklicken.
Abhilfe:
in

Es darf nicht eine weiter Zeile mit der IP Adresse 127.0.0.1 und noname eingefügt werden. Sonst startet das System nicht mehr. Abhilfe schafft dann der Recovery Modus der Installations DVD (mit

/etc/hosts
hinter dem eintrag localhost noch den Eintrag noname
einfügen. Das sieht dann in etwa wie folgt aus:127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost noname
